Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SkyGrid: Live Weather & Radar — Severe Storm Alerts & Rain Map (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of SkyGrid (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By continuing to use the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

Description of the App

SkyGrid is a paid weather application for iOS devices that provides:

  • Real-time weather conditions, forecasts, and radar maps
  • Severe storm alerts and weather notifications
  • Live rain maps and precipitation tracking
  • Location-based hyper-local weather data

Weather data is sourced from Apple WeatherKit and OpenWeather API. SkyGrid is a paid app available on the Apple App Store. There are no advertisements, in-app purchases, or subscription fees at this time. Future pricing or feature structures may change with notice.

License & Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use SkyGrid on any Apple device that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Create derivative works based on the App
  • Circumvent any technical measures or access controls in the App

Purchase & Pricing

SkyGrid is a paid application. You pay a one-time purchase price through the Apple App Store to download and use the App. All payments are processed by Apple Inc. and are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.

  • No Refunds: All purchases are final and processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store.
  • Family Sharing: SkyGrid supports Apple’s Family Sharing feature where enabled.
  • Future Changes: We reserve the right to introduce new pricing tiers, subscription plans, or in-app purchases in future versions. Existing paid users will be notified of any material changes.

💡 Your one-time purchase grants lifetime access to all features available at the time of purchase. New major features introduced in future versions may require a separate upgrade.

Weather Data & Accuracy

SkyGrid provides weather information sourced from third-party providers (Apple WeatherKit and OpenWeather API). While we strive to display the most accurate and up-to-date weather information possible:

  • Weather forecasts and conditions are inherently subject to uncertainty and may not always be accurate.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of weather data displayed in the App.
  • Weather information should not be used as the sole basis for making safety-critical decisions.
  • Always consult official government weather services for emergency or safety-critical situations.

⚠️ Safety Warning: Do not rely solely on SkyGrid for severe weather safety decisions. Always follow guidance from official local authorities and emergency services during dangerous weather events.

Location & Notifications

By granting location permission, you consent to the App using your device’s GPS coordinates solely to fetch weather data for your current position. Location is accessed only while the app is in use.

By enabling notifications, you consent to receiving weather alert notifications powered by Apple WeatherKit. You may disable notifications at any time in your device settings. We do not send marketing or promotional notifications.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, icons, and other materials in SkyGrid are the intellectual property of the Developer and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Weather data displayed in the App remains the property of Apple WeatherKit and OpenWeather respectively, subject to their own terms of service. The “SkyGrid” name, logo, and brand elements are proprietary to the Developer.

Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

SkyGrid is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Guarantees of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of weather data or forecasts

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage resulting from reliance on weather information.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to purchase the App.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services. By using SkyGrid, you also agree to the terms of these services:

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. Links to third-party resources are provided for your convenience only.

Apple App Store Terms

SkyGrid is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for SkyGrid. You acknowledge that Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Modifications to the App & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any provision. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from all your devices.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine to be in violation of these Terms or otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. As SkyGrid is distributed globally through the Apple App Store, we respect the laws of the jurisdiction in which you are located.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of courts as required by your local law.
